Royal Highland Show
If you are a lover of all things rural, the annual Royal Highland Show is just the thing for you. This spectacular event celebrates the best in farming, eating and rural industry across Scotland. It spans over four days in July, offering fun for all ages including opportunities for you to get up close to farmyard animals, sample delicious, locally sourced food and beverages, while experiencing rural life like never before. This fantastic event is hosted by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland and launched in 1822, the show initially moved around visiting different towns and regions of the country. In 1960, it settled in Edinburgh with the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston becoming a permanent home.
Tatton Flower Show
Tatton Flower Show is one of the most well known UK attractions. From the gorgeous gardens with an abundance of ideas and inspiration you can pick up visions for small spaces from the iconic Back-to-Back gardens and be stunned with beauty by colour in the Community Borders. The talks, demonstrations and workshops offer the opportunity to discover tips, tricks and advice from the experts in the Potting Bench Theatre, Practical Gardening and Dig In Live Theatre, while the Floral Marquee and Plant Village allow you to surround yourself in flawless florals and shop from some of the UK’s best growers. There is fun for all the family here as it will be bursting with creative crafts and wonderful workshops to inspire gardeners of all sizes.

Edinburgh Art Festival
Edinburgh Art Festival was founded in 2004 and is still going strong, bringing in visitors from all over the world. Edinburgh Art Festival is the main stage for the visual arts at the heart of Edinburgh’s August festivals. It brings together the capital’s leading galleries, museums and artist-run spaces in a city-wide celebration of the very best in visual art, such as giant art pieces like inflatable planets. Each year, the Festival features prominent international and UK performers along with the best rising talent, major survey exhibitions of historic figures, and a special programme of newly commissioned artworks that respond to public and historic sites in the city.
