When you hear the word Italy on which destination do you think? Maybe Venice, Florence or Rome? Of course those are fantastic cities to visit but you could be surprised visiting also a small city situated in Emilia Romagna, along the the Adriatic Coast, which is called Rimini. It is amazing to see that Rimini is not only a city full of entertainment and with a great beach but it is also a city of culture, tradition, art and excellent food.
Food
In every region of Italy there is a typical food prepared with different ingredients and different process of preparation. That is why in Italy there is such a variety of awesome food. Even in Rimini you can find a food very connected to the local tradition. If you go to Rimini you must try the ”piadina” a home bread made with flour, water, lard, baking powder and some other “secret” ingredients that the women that prepare it they don’t want to reveal. The piadina is very good to have it simple, or you can try with ”prosciutto” ( ham), ”rugula” and of course Italian cheese. You will be impressed how delicious is this simple bread with all this genuine product that are of course all Made in Italy.
Culture
If you visit Rimini do not stop just in the modern part of the city where there are hotels, restaurants and pubs. Rimini is a city with an ancient history and with many ancient monuments and churches that is worthy to discover. Rimini was founded in the 268 B.C. by ancient Romans and for centuries the city was an important point of communication between the north and south of Italy. The presence of the Romans is very evident, in fact there are many monuments of the Roman period, like the Arco d’Augusto, Anfiteatro Romano and Ponte Tiberio.
Entertainment
In Rimini the time flies because there is always something to do here, there is no time that you ask youself ‘’what do I do now?’’. In Rimini there are activities suitable for everyone. If you love an active vacation maybe you can decide to spend a day in one of the many Theme Park of the city like Fiabilandia, Italia in Miniatura, Delfinario, Rivergreen Golf or the Skypark Parco Avventura. In the beach resort you can also find the right place to do many activities. You can play volleyball, football, beach tennis. If you a have a children maybe you could visit Fiabilandia with a lot of attraction in an extended park or you could visit the Delfinario where you can meet funny dolphins and watch a fantastic show.
