A silver screen name called Chiranjeevi

May be that is what it is just meant for. A silver screen name called Chiranjeevi.

A childhood fantasy for most of us in our generation, we age with him. I must be barely six years old when I first saw the ‘Rudranetra’ , a 007 kind movie , to have first seen and known about this megastar in the making. There is no turning back. Movie after movie, it has been an increasing love for the magic he creates. The only disappointment that might come once in a while is to see why more and more and more good movies are not made with him, just to see the favorite star in all shades within the prime time 🙂 I, like many of us, didn’t realize there is a lifetime to get those !

It won’t be too much to say and it would be sufficient to say, that sometimes the mood of the day depends on his movie. I remember the time when there was a sudden gap of movies after Big Boss, never felt so much vacuum. Especially after a series of continuous movies in the early 90s, that sure was a disappointment. Not too long though.

When I was in Gowtham, residential college, we had serious divisions among us, students either in favor or against the might of the star. It was indeed a very great experience to get a chance to get a chance to show your support and to actually support your hero. I did just the same. The love just got stronger day by day (to deviate, this applies to all other aspects, especially to the on-going India against corruption, as well.) I also heard many rumors and bad things during this time (my first exposure to such things) about the demi-god, soon to put them to rest and keep moving only in one direction – more admiration. I feel nobody can help it 😛

He has been a source of inspiration. The students and children of Andhra (and may b the rest of south india) are more exposed to not many happenings around the country or the world much, nor they know many great personalities and leaders too soon in their early years. All they can know of few film stars and sportsmen. And I found , in this megastar, a great source of inspiration, to keep working , on and on and on. Many of my behavioral patterns are taken from his book.

CDs, posters and magazines all over my room, it is lively and shining, half of the credit should go to the star (the rest half, i would take myself 😛 ).

With the internet, laptops, now there is a flush of high quality posters and wallpapers, which are a tough thing to find few years back. I cherish all the tough tasks I did to possess them.

If i heard many rumors at that time, I saw many unfortunate things happening in the last three years (and may be this is the end of it all ? , i hope so ! ) . I do not agree myself with some of those actions and ideas, but what’s the end result – More admiration. Definitely, nobody can help it.

I want to see him back on the silver screen, where he belongs. Where the name gets its credit. Where he never gets old or where he doesn’t need to wait five years.

Two days back, when i realized that it will be his birthday, nothing else is coming into my mind, except to think of all the kind of movies that I wish to see him act. Roles of Johny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean), Rocky (the return) are a few that Chiru can make wonders with. May be that’s because I saw those movies recently, but the point is to see him in varied frames.

I have been whole heartily celebrating his birthday for the past 10 years. I had a break in celebrating my own birthday once in that time frame ( and stopped doing it now), but these won’t apply to boss.

The Mega Star shines, and it just shines. Happy Birthday Chiru…..happy birthday.
