- Sink auger

- Toilet auger
Toiler augers are used to clear the clogs in toilet. Sink augers must not be used for clearing toilets and vice versa as both tools are designed for different purposes. Toilet auger is made of long metal rod with a bend that reaches into hole at bottom of bowl. Also known as toilet plunger, this tool is specifically used to clear the clogs in toilet. It operates like a regular plunger but has a flange that allows to seal around the hole at bottom of the toilet bowl.
- Cup plunger
This is the most common plumbing tool that you find in a house and even with professional plumbers. It has a cup-like shape made of rubber and a wooden handle used to clear clogs in tubs, sinks and showers. The plunger must not be used for clearing toilet clogs.
- Plumber’s tape
This is an essential material used to prevent leaks. It is thin tape that can be wrapped around threads on fitting and pipes before twisting the parts. It even adds lubricant to assist threading and helps to seal the joints to prevent leaks.
- Channel-type pliers
These are commonly known by the name of their brand Channel-Locks. They are like regular adjustable pliers but have extended adjustment sections and angle jaws which allows the user to grip the pipes and any other plumbing parts of any size.
- Adjustable pipe wrench
This is a very important plumbing tool. It offers remarkable grip and leverage. It is specifically designed to grip circular things such as pipes. Since it leaves teeth marks behind, it is not recommended to use it on shiny fixtures or on fragile items. They are mostly used on galvanized steel and on heavy-duty fixtures.
- Faucet packing
Faucet packing are essential for fixing leaky valves and other traditional equipment. It is essential to have this around since it can save you a trip to the store.
