Hi All…

We all want to do our part, one way or the other, to help make things better, in our home and outside. And when it comes to the questions of Society, Nation and ‘change’ , I do not think there is any less courage except that the opportunities are almost zero. There is no denying this belief, that we all want to make a difference, no denial except that we never had a chance to prove.  What if the opportunity is given ?

I just hope we come up to the expectations to do our part, to keep alive this very belief. I just really hope.

Do your bit, Plan a better India

The 12th Five Year Plan is ON ! The Government of India (under the aegis of the Planning Commission), is accepting recommendations and suggestions from the stakeholders. The Public. May be for the first time giving us enough time to do our bit, and not doing a namesake exercise of giving an advertisement in an unknown and unread newspaper for accepting suggestions (like it used to do always, and did for such reports like Telangana report, 11th Five Year plan, Budget 2011 and any other report).

http://www.12thplan.gov.in/ is the link we need to look upon. Please, I repeat please, utilize this opportunity to suggest any or many of your ideas.

Don’t worry at this point about the acceptance of rejection of these. Remember , we are trying to do our bit. Nothing more.

More than just doing our bit, I feel that it is our duty and may be, we are in a better position to give our constructive suggestions bringing in our diversity, local conditions from which we came up and the daily courses.

Also, it is important and the onus on us, to propagate this open letter from the Planning Commission to as many people as possible so that the bes t of the suggestions and the most neglected of the items are all taken care of.

I earnestly hope that some of us can really make a difference.

12th Five Year Plan:

The Twelfth Five Year Plan will commence in 2012-13. Before the Plan itself is unveiled, the Planning Commission normally prepares an Approach Paper which lays out the major targets, the key challenges in meeting them, and the broad approach that must be followed to achieve the stated objectives.

The Approach Paper is approved by the Cabinet and the National Development Council which includes all the Chief Ministers of the States. It provides the architecture which is fleshed out in detail in the Plan itself

To develop an inclusive and participative approach to the process, the Planning Commission has decided that the Approach Paper will be evolved through a web based consultative process in which all interested persons can participate. We have developed a multi-dimensional strategy matrix which indicates some of the key areas we need to explore.
